Here we are, deep in the grip of winter, waiting patiently for the thaw to begin. We are hoping to have early spring plants on the tables in 7-8 weeks from now, but will this be the winter that the snow banks last till May? Let’s hope not, but meanwhile, here is winter photo of Parrotia persica in the garden. Lovely patterned bark, and while it certainly is not spring color, it is worthy of a second glance. Stay warm, and wait patiently for the first robin song!
