Peonies are starting to bloom

Our tree peonies in the nursery are starting to bloom. This is a perfect time to pick out the color you are looking for, as it is so hard to describe color once it is out of bloom.

For example, this is one of our chinese rockii hybrids, Ye Guang Bai, that I would describe as deep burgundy, however some may describe it as a deep purple, or even black.
Our peonies are starting to bloom now, and will continue for the next several weeks. The general sequence of bloom is the rockii hybrids, followed by the Japanese tree peonies, followed by the intersectional hybrids. The herbaceous varieties usually span the month of May, depending on the variety. The best way to get the color you desire is to come visit, and pick one out while in bloom!
